Split reflection

Before the performance named “Empire” by the artists’ collective Superamas at Impulstanz (2008), the word “observateur” on my arm was a reflection of the sociological “seeing and being seen” – a recurring theme in Superama’s performances.
During an exhibition opening at the Generali Foundation (2008), the inscriptions “free” and “contract of employment?” evoked a political level, since both words could be read as a critique of the deteriorating labour relations in Austria in the recent years.
